sasuke words, 644 notes, blegh[/div] ❚ IT WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE BEEN A simple... "personal" mission. No one was to find out, so no one would follow or stop him from going. He had left a note in his room, though, in case anyone checked there and started to worry about his absence. He didn't intend to leave the village, he just didn't want anyone to follow him and stop him from what he had already set his mind on. After everything that had happened, something had to be done. Someone had to do something before things got out of hand. If only he knew the real trouble that had begun to brew. I've left for a while to take care of some business. I won't let them take him! I'll be back. A simple note, for something far from simple. He didn't want them to worry. Despite that, he knew they would. All of them would. With what was going on lately, anyone would worry that their Jinchuuriki suddenly disappeared, leaving only a hint as to what he was doing, but no word as to where he was going. They would figure it out though, if they were smart. And, unfortunately, he was sure they were. But it would be a while until they searched his room and found the letter under his pillow. He had plenty of time. He knew this was a dangerous gamble, what with Madara having declared war on Konoha for some unknown reason, and with him being an important part of the Akatsuki's evil plot. They'd gathered up all the rest of the Bijuu, they were already after him. Even Naruto wasn't taking this matter lightly, though, even if he hadn't really thought this through. Oops, he forgot to do that part! Thinking never really was his strong point, though. He preferred to just act, usually emotion being his guiding point. It hadn't failed him thus far, so why would it stop? Still... Searching for someone who had joined the Akatsuki, apparently of their own free will, was dangerous, extremely dangerous. No! He wouldn't believe that Sasuke joined the Akatsuki willingly! His brother had been part of the organization! Why would he join them?! Until he was completely convinced, by the raven himself, that he joined without force, he would continue to refuse to believe it. And even then, he wouldn't sit back and let Sasuke ruin his life that way! He wouldn't let Sasuke go to war against them! That was, of course, if he had any intention of even participating. So, that was what he meant by "I won't let them take him!" His business dealt with searching for his friend, even if that meant leaving the village and the Land of Fire altogether until he accomplished his goal or was forced to go back. He had been following rumors about where the Akatsuki was holed up currently, rumors that he didn't doubt were false, at least some of them, in some way. It wasn't as if he believed Madara was unconfident in what he was doing. The man knew that he couldn't be defeated so easily -- why completely hide their location? That was why he was in the Land of Iron, a cold, harsh landscape in every aspect. Snow was piled thick around him, and even though it was daytime -- he believed -- it was hard to see in front of him. It was dark, and the air was... blurry? He didn't know what he was going to do here, though. How would he find Sasuke? Would he be with others, or alone? And what would he do when, if, he found him? What if the rumors were false? Then he'd wasted all this time! He shook his head, trying to get rid of the increasing questions, but they just kept coming back. Damn it, Sasuke. Where are you?[/div]

The land of Iron. Sasuke had never really been familiar with the place. Not that the raven had really ever cared about it either. Whichever you wanted to put it, it didn't matter to him. Sasuke had never really cared about anything but his goal as an avenger, and now that goal seemed like a distant memory. He could remember easily all those years ago when he had been a foolish brat, only wanting to kill his brother and restore his clan, a dream that seemed so distant now.
The male would of never guessed what had actually happened however. Had he gotten his dream? Yes, quite nice actually. He had killed his brother, vengeance complete, as well as obtain the Mangekyo Sharingan his brother had been so well known for. But at what cost, had he done such things? Sasuke, had killed his brother, only to find that the man had only murdered his clan, his family, because of command of some higher up idiot. It frustrated Sasuke to no end.
Konohagakure. Because, they had been afraid of the Uchiha clan's power, they had decided to wipe them out. They had sentenced them all to a permanent death, himself included, and had used his brother to do so. Sasuke, should of died that night to, now, he knew the truth and all those horrid memories came flooding back to him, everything that had happened that night, it made so much more sense now. Itachi had never said those things because he hated Sasuke, no, he said them, for Sasuke's own sake. For Sasuke to grow up with anger in his heart, to be strong.
Sasuke let out a dark sound from deep in his throat resembling that of a growl as he slammed his fist into a nearby tree. He had separated himself from Madara and the others from the former group Hebi. That wouldn't last long, the male was sure of it. Karin and her obnoxious self would find him out of "worry". Suigetsu would probably be having a fit that Sasuke had left them again. Juugo, Juugo wouldn't care at all. Sasuke didn't really care at the moment, his thoughts were only on the betrayal of his once home.
"I swear, on my brother and all of the Uchiha's graves, this will not go unpunished. " he said to himself. Naturally his hand touched that of his sword that rested on his back. Sasuke, despite his constant rants had never been one to drop his guard, so when the presence of another person came to his senses, he quickly pulled himself from his thought and to the area once more. The male had a dark look set upon his features, irritance, mostly due to the fact he thought it was one of his teammates or Madara himself.
When he got a better hint of the chakra however, the look fell from his face, replaced by one of mere nothing. No expression came to his face as he realized just who was there. The same person Madara was looking for, and the same person, who he had fought all those years ago before he had left his village or learned anything. That didn't matter though, none of it mattered to him now. Though he had had a bond with Naruto, and still wouldn't admit that it was still there despite what he said, he no longer cared what happened to the blonde.
Whether he lived or died was no concern of his. If he wanted to survive the damn blonde could learn to protect himself, cause Sasuke, sure as hell, wasn't going to do it. Concealing his chakra and presence he quickly appeared behind the blonde using his body flicker technique. His heels felt the coldness of the snow, but that didn't really matter. Dark hues only an Uchiha cold have starred at the back of the boys head. Finally the male's mouth moved a few simple words that could mean the start of practically anything when it came to the two of them.
"You are a long way from home Naruto." The male said, the word home leaving a bad taste in his mouth.

sasuke words, 572 notes, what will happen now~[/div] ❚ HE WAS STARTING TO LOSE HOPE THAT he would find Sasuke. The Land of Iron may be relatively small compared to the other Lands, but he could hardly see anything. What if he passed their hideout without ever noticing? Or worse yet, what if he passed Sasuke without knowing? He groaned quietly as he walked, tilting his body forward slightly as a sort of way to march through the snow. No, he was determined to find him! And so he would! Even if he had to search the Land of Iron a hundred times over! He wasn't going to go back to Konoha and admit that he failed to even glimpse the raven. Though, finding him the first time would be much more welcomed. A sigh escaped his lips as he walked, and he watched as his breath froze in front of him. He'd been trying his best to ignore the cold, wrapped in the tan cloak he was wearing, but he believed that his toes were beginning to go numb. Shaking his head, he put that out of his mind. Finding Sasuke was more important than his toes being cold, he'd worry about that later. Though, perhaps wearing sandals in the snow wasn't a good idea... Something to remember next time, he thought to himself. He was unsure as to how long he had been walking, been searching. Or how long he'd been away from Konoha. A few days, he decided. It couldn't have been too long, he hadn't stopped much. Mostly only for quick naps and to relieve himself. Any food he ate he had eaten while moving. He hadn't wanted to waste any time. And he'd made good time, he guessed. Ah well, it doesn't matter, you're here now. So as long as he didn't let himself get distracted... What was that feeling? he wondered, slowing down. It was brief, and than when he paid attention, he didn't feel anything. Perhaps you're just anxious. Still, it had felt like someone was nearby. But who, he wondered? Were they strong? There were so many strong people around Madara. Well, as long as it wasn't Madara himself, he should be okay. If it was someone at all, that was. Shaking his head, blaming the feeling on being nervous and hopeful, he continued to walk at a slightly quicker pace. But that was until he heard those words. Those words from that familiar voice. His feet finally stopped, as if rooted to the place, as he stared straight ahead without blinking. He knew that voice from anywhere, he didn't need to see the person to know who it was. "Sasuke..." he whispered. What should he do? What should he say? The whole time he had been traveling here, he had gone over what would happen in his head over and over, trying to decide how to convince Sasuke to come back, or what he would do. But now that he was actually here, with Sasuke so close... He didn't know. Say something, he willed himself, but his voice caught in his throat. It was the shock, he knew. Finally, taking a deep breath, Naruto spoke, without turning around, "And so are you, Sasuke. Wandering around without your friends now?" That girl, those two boys... And Madara, of course, were who he was referring to. He didn't mean it as actual friends, though. Just... he was taunting his choice of companions he guessed. [/div]

The cold weather only seemed to help intensify the mood the male was in. He was all ready irritated, and when it came to the blonde, he always tended to make things worse. It didn't matter what situation he was in. They had always bickered, always fought, and nothing had changed since then. The two found anything to fight about, and they had succeed. Sasuke had never planned on forming a bond with the idiot that was standing but a small length ahead of him, but it did in fact happen, and there was nothing he could say to make it seem less real.
The male let out calm breaths, not worried at all about the boy who stood in front of him. His breath's came out as fog, which was very easy to see. Unlike the baka in front of him, he was dressed for this kind of weather since he had been here for a while now anyway. It wasn't like anything was going to change. After all, he knew what would happen if he wasn't constantly prepared. Unlike others, he had no fear against the blonde in front of him. He wasn't weary of him, or even afraid of how strong he had grown. After all the raven had in fact seen what was inside Naruto. The demon Kyuubi, it explained everything to him. It wasn't Naruto, who was the strong one, but instead the demon that lay within him.
Another thing, that wasn't a mystery any more. Now that Sasuke knew, there was no worry of the blonde. The demon inside him, maybe, but even then Sasuke wouldn't admit fear. Naruto was a dumbass after all. Especially coming out here, and all alone. Madara would have a fit, if he knew the blonde was here and Sasuke hadn't gone to take him down yet. Once again, the raven would simply turn away and ignore the Uchiha. He didn't take orders from anyone, least of all that guy. So why was he with him? Madara was a tool to him, he was using the man to get to Konoha, to dish out his own revenge. Little did he know it was the exact opposite.
The male heard his slight whisper of his name, and made no move or sound to answer him. There was no need to. He knew the blonde was probably surprised and he should of been. After all, Sasuke was behind him, and the blonde had yet to turn. It was he, who was in trouble. Maybe the idiot hadn't changed at all, not that Sasuke ever thought he would. It didn't matter how strong he got, the raven would always be better. When Naruto spoke the words he spoke angered Sasuke more than anything. Home. Konoha, the dreadful place his thoughts had been only moments before.
His other words, didn't really even faze him. Much like the blonde himself, Hebi, Madara, they really didn't matter. Or at least, the male told himself that. After all, he would sacrifice them in a heartbeat to get whatever he wanted. That, was certain. His dark hues took on a devilish glare that was trained on Naruto's every move. "You haven't changed one bit Naruto. The same idiotic genin that was on Team 7. That pathetic village, that you put your existence into, what a waste. Then again, you weren't really much to recon with at all. Maybe it suits you to be in a place like that. Me? I am going to destroy Konoha, and ever inch of your pathetic existence there." he said.
He didn't care if that set Naruto off, he knew it probably would. After all it was his "village". "What will you do Naruto? Since you still claim me as one of your friends. When your very friend is the one who is going to destroy the place that you claimed you were going to become Hokage at? Or.. has that dream finally faded? Have you actually gotten enough common sense to realize that isn't ever going to happen." the male said. The wind picked up slightly moving against Sasuke's hair ruffling it like it normally did.
Snow drifted between the two. It seemed like a fight waiting to happen. It all depended on what Naruto would do now...

sasuke words, 624 notes, dun dun dun~[/div] ❚ WHAT WOULD SASUKE SAY, WHAT WOULD SASUKE do? he wondered. What would happen between the pair? This meeting was bound to have gone wrong from the start, even he had admitted that to himself. Even so, he hadn't let it go to his head, didn't let that account into his decision. He just wanted to see Sasuke, wanted to talk to him. Wanted him to return to Konoha. Konoha... it seemed so distant in his memory now compared to what was going on. So unimportant... They would be unable to help him now, so far away. He just had to be careful, that way he wouldn't be in any danger. Danger... That didn't even matter to the blond right now. He couldn't care less how much danger he had put himself into by coming here. How much danger he was in so close to where Madara had them all holed up. No, the only thing that mattered was the current situation, the situation that was brewing up with Sasuke so close behind him. So close to him, and yet so far... Naruto closed his eyes tightly, as if to shield the pain that was forming within him. The pain of having lost his friend in the first place. Lost to a world of hatred and revenge. Sasuke... I won't let them have you...Even if that meant fighting him. Even if that meant forcing him to return to Konoha. Knocking him out cold. Beating him to a pulp. Making him hate him more forever by forcing him to do something that he was apparently against. No, there had to be something in the raven that wanted to return to Konoha. Something that made him regret all that he had done and was doing. Something. Anything... Even he had doubts, though. Was Sasuke really the boy he claimed to be? Heartless, uncaring, loathing. Was he really different? Or... had he always been this way? And then Sasuke spoke. Words that he feared deep down that he would say. Even if he had prepared himself for the worst, nothing had prepared him for what the raven was saying. Idiotic, fine, he'd always been called that. But, pathetic village, destroy-- Destroy?! His hands clenched tightly at his sides as he fought to restrain his anger. Sasuke wanted to destroy Konoha?! That had been his home, no matter how much he wanted to deny it! And he could just callously cast that aside as if it didn't matter?! What's happened to you, Sasuke?Or... was Sasuke right? He still claimed him as his friend, even after all that he had just said. If he wanted to be Hokage, than no matter what happened, in the end, he would wind up fighting Sasuke. He didn't want that, he never wanted it, not in the way that such a fight would mean. He couldn't allow it to happen, couldn't allow Sasuke to destroy the village that he, that they, had grown up in. Never going to happen... "How could you be so heartless, Sasuke?" he spoke softly, but underneath he was boiling. "How could you wish to destroy the home, don't deny it, that you lived in? The family that you made by living there?" His hands clenched tighter, and his face screwed up in anger. His breathing now came in rough gasps and he just wanted to hit something. Hit Sasuke. I am going to destroy Konoha, and ever inch of your pathetic existence there. The words continued to ring in his head as if he was still saying it. "The people that care for you?"Finally, he couldn't control his anger. He spun around quickly and sprang at Sasuke, fist outstretched to what he hoped was his face. [/div]
